With a graduate of Sul Ross State University, Rio Grande College in Eagle Pass with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Mathematics in 2005, she worked for Our Lady of Refuge School for over 12 years.  Mrs. Benavides also received her Master’s Degree in Education with Teacher Leadership from the University of Phoenix, Arizona in 2015. She has been a classroom teacher (4th – 8th grades), OLOR School Librarian, OLOR School ESL Reading Interventionist, and Computer Lab teacher, as well as the OLOR School Choir Director.
